Sales Account Executive
The Account Executive position is an outside sales position based out of the broadcast facility in Rockville, Maryland. Sales Account Executives are experienced media sales professionals able to generate revenue from local and regional advertisers and advertising agencies. The ideal candidate has a proven track record in advertising sales within the Hispanic Radio/Advertising industry. We are looking for a self starter with a consultative sales approach who is pro-active in driving revenue and increasing a client base.

Responsibilities include:
- Job emphasis is on recruiting new business through cold calls and existing account lists.
- Proactively prospecting and qualifying potential new advertising accounts.
- Sell advertising and sponsorship opportunities on ESPN Deportes.
- Present persuasive sales presentations to all levels of an organization.
- Successfully close accounts in excess of $40,000 annually and manage a business exceeding $1,000,000 in yearly recognized revenue.
- Actively manage and develop up to one hundred accounts at all times.
Requirements
- Minimum of 3 years Hispanic Advertising Sales experience with proven success.
- Bi-lingual (English/Spanish)
- Strong sales skills
- Superior phone skills, excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong understanding of marketing dynamics including demographic and psychographic targeting and branding positions.
- Results oriented, accountable, strong work ethic, strong team player.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Outstanding computer skills including solid knowledge of Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
- 4 year college degree, preferably Marketing and Advertising.

ESPN Deportes Programming/News Reporting intern -
A communications/journalism major. We are looking for a junior or Senior student looking to break into the Sports industry. We are looking for responsible students that are passionate about sports, writing, radio and TV. We prefer that students are bi-lingual, since this is ESPN Deportes, however, it is not necessary, conversational basic Spanish is acceptable. Duties include helping produce local shows, Sports Center updates, and games. Covering local teams with a reporter to learn how to interact with athletes and the media. Representing ESPN Deportes at LIVE events. Researching sports stories and topics.
ESPN Deportes Website Intern -
Journalism major with IT experience or IT major with Sports experience. This intern will be responsible for assisting our Web Director with updating our local website, learning website promotional events, and assisting reporters with website stories. We prefer that students are bi-lingual, since this is ESPN Deportes, however, it is not necessary, conversational basic Spanish is acceptable.
